The NEET UG application asks for a passport-size photo and a signature, and also captures a live photo that's matched with your Aadhaar. This page is set to the NEET (UG) 2026 Information Bulletin: photo 10–200 KB, signature 10–100 KB, both JPG. Crop, resize and download each in seconds — your images stay on your phone. We'll update this page when the NEET UG 2027 bulletin is released.
What NEET checks in your photo
NTA is strict about the face. It must cover about 80% of the photo, with no mask, both ears visible and a white background. The photo must be recent — taken on or after 1 January 2026 — and it can be colour or black and white.
During the form, a live photo is also captured and matched with your Aadhaar photo. If the uploaded photo looks very different (old photo, heavy filter, different hairstyle or glasses), you're inviting trouble. Wear spectacles only if you wear them regularly.
Keep physical copies of the same photo
Get prints made from the same photo you upload. The bulletin asks you to keep 4–6 postcard-size (4" × 6") and 6–8 passport-size copies. The postcard-size photo goes to the exam centre — it is not an upload in 2026. Using a different photo on exam day than in your form is an avoidable problem.
Why we output 276 × 354 px
NTA specifies the KB range but not pixel dimensions. We use a standard passport shape, 3.5 × 4.5 cm at 200 DPI, which is 276 × 354 px. A face photo at this size lands comfortably within 10–200 KB. If the file is ever under the 10 KB minimum, it's padded safely without changing the image.
For the signature we output a 300 × 100 px strip. Since no correction is allowed after upload, zoom in on the result before submitting.
Finger and thumb impressions
NEET UG 2026 also requires finger and thumb impression uploads. The bulletin gives two conflicting size ranges for these — 10–200 KB in one place and 50–300 KB in another — so we haven't added a preset for them. Check the size shown on the form itself before you upload.
Each impression is a separate image, so take them on clean white paper in daylight, the same way you photograph your signature.
